TUESDAY

The wonderful week of family visits has come to an end.  All in all Mary fared pretty well.  At the beginning of the week she pushed herself to do things she really wanted to do for everyone, and then found a more realistic pace for the latter part of the week.  It was a good boost for her spirits.  Increasing her physical stamina continues to be a goal.  We meet with the doctor next Monday and we will see if there are any other things we can do to improve that area.  She still encounters communication challenges, but people are patient and perceptive and can usually figure out where the conversation is going.  I am very proud of Mary Ann.  She continues to fight to make each day the best it can be.  She would love to be able to do more with her life but recognizes that the cancer and treatment have created limitations that she can’t control.    So operating within these new realities she is doing the best that she can. 

We have a wonderful week of Easter ahead of us.  It is certainly a great reminder of the love and power of God when Jesus proclaimed, “I am the Resurrection and the Life”, and then proved it by raising Lazarus from the dead.  May the joy of Easter fill your hearts with praise as we reflect on all the benefits we have received from the wonderful and incomprehensible grace of God.
